Objectives
Faculty Development Programme (FDP) is designed to train and develop professionals in entrepreneurship development so that they can act as resource persons in training, teaching, guiding, and motivating young STEM individuals to take up entrepreneurship as a career choice. Through FDP, faculty members of Science and Technology Institutions, Polytechnics and Entrepreneurship Development Organizations are trained for duration of two weeks.
Outcomes
- This FDP aims to provide inputs on process and practice of entrepreneurship development, communication and inter-personal skills, creativity, problem solving, achievement motivation, resources available and all aspects of entrepreneurship.
- The Faculty Development Programme (FDP) aims at equipping teachers with skills and knowledge that are essential for inculcating entrepreneurial values in students and guiding and monitoring their progress towards entrepreneurial career.
- The Program aims to establish the faculty in various institutes as startup enablers and the gateway for creating entrepreneurs.

About Chitkara Innovation Incubator Foundation
Entrepreneurship culture is of key importance to Chitkara University. With the vision “To promote entrepreneurial spirit amongst youth, researchers, engineers, and society at large by promoting cutting edge technology & non -technology start-ups which will lead to economic and social development of the country” Chitkara University has opened its first incubator “Chitkara Innovation Incubator Foundation (CIIF)” in the year 2015 with an area of 15,000 sq ft. CIIF is one of the first TBI to be established in Punjab & also to get Govt. grants like Startup India Seed Fund, NIDHI PRAYAS, NIDHI-SSP, MeitY- TIDE 2.0 etc.
CIIF –DST Approved MSME recognized TBI, provides facilities like industry desired mentoring, space, flexible leases, shared use of common office equipment, direct business assistance and guidance, networking to capital, connecting to industry for business pilots / growth of start-ups and other technical resources.
