WECON™ Legacy

Chitkara University has been conducting WECON since 2008, and over the years, eight editions of the conference have been successfully organized. The most recent edition, WECON 2025, was conducted with technical sponsorship from the IEEE Delhi Section. Over the years, WECON has earned a reputation as one of the premier engineering conferences in North India.

WECON has consistently received support and endorsement from leading government organizations, professional societies, industries, and international universities. Previous editions have witnessed participation and support from organizations such as ISRO, DRDO, IEEE Delhi Section, Texas Instruments, NXP Semiconductors, Applied Materials Inc., IESA, EFY, and Elsevier, along with collaborations with internationally reputed universities including Deakin University (Australia), British Columbia Institute of Technology (Canada), George Brown College (Canada), and Heriot-Watt University Malaysia. Initially, WECON focused on the emerging domains of Wireless Networks and Embedded Systems. As engineering and technology evolved, so did the conference. Since its recent editions, WECON has expanded its scope to encompass contemporary and emerging technologies, providing a broader platform for interdisciplinary research and innovation. Reflecting this evolution, the conference is now known as the World Engineering Conference on Contemporary Technologies (WECON).

WECON 2026 marks the 9^th edition of the conference and it is going to focus on the Contemporary Artificial Intelligence Technologies for Societal and Industrial Transformation.

Participation by Invitation

Participation and presentation at WECON 2026 are by invitation only. The organizing committee will invite leading researchers, academicians, industry professionals, and entrepreneurs working in various domains of Artificial Intelligence to present their impactful research, technologies, and innovations.

Researchers, academicians, industry professionals, and entrepreneurs who wish to be considered for an invitation may express their interest by filling the Google Form on or before August 30, 2026.
