Mechatronics Engineering is a unique degree program at Chitkara University that combines mechanical, electrical, and computing technology with automated control and information systems, preparing you for a top career in the engineering, design, and manufacturing industries.
Course Duration
Internship Opportunity
As part of the curriculum, students would be required to undergo a 6 month to 1 year stint of industrial training in blue chip corporations.
Campus Recruitment
Placement Opportunities in Fortune 500 companies.
Eligibility
Candidates must qualify one of the two sets of criteria given below to be eligible for admission.
Mechatronics Engineers work in all aspects of the development of smart machines – from design and testing right through to manufacture. This could be in industries like robotics, medical and assistive technology, human-machine interaction, manufacturing, unmanned aerial and ground vehicles, and education.
Considering this, we have built an industry-aligned curriculum wherein students learn robotics, mechatronics, and autonomous system technology, while also providing them ample opportunity for practical application and project work.
The core focus areas of the program include:
From creating robots to engineering anti-lock brakes, students learn to create smart machines and innovative solutions with an Engineering degree in Mechatronics from Chitkara University.
When you earn a Mechatronics Engineering degree from Chitkara University, you’re combining a broad range of skills in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, and control systems. The multidisciplinary skills and knowledge you’ll gain will give you the solid base you need to solve complex engineering problems. This program will also give you a big-picture perspective, flexibility, and adaptability — all key components of career success.
The field of Mechatronics is hands-on, so it only makes sense that its degree program would be hands-on, too. At Chitkara University, all of our mechatronics students put theory into practice in our state-of-the-art labs. You’ll work with the same components, systems, and technology that today’s professionals are working with in the field. This means you’ll graduate with the confidence and experience you need — and you’ll require significantly less on-the-job training than many of your peers.
In our Mechatronics degree program, you’ll not only learn the theory of why things work, but you’ll also learn how to build the systems yourself. Our mechatronics students learn how to build, repair, program and maintain smart machines and controls —the skills employers look for. We also stress real-world scenarios in all of our teaching, which enables our students to anticipate problems and create solutions that are immediately applicable in the field.
Our Mechatronics Engineering program prepares you to become Mechatronics Engineering Technologists, working with “smart” devices such as robots and automated systems. You can pursue diverse career paths in industries such as advanced manufacturing, telecommunications, agriculture, green energy, and medical equipment design. Our graduates have been recruited by several major corporations, such as:
