Eligibility
Bachelors in Medical Laboratory Science is a healthcare professional course concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases through the use of chemical, haematological, immunologic, microscopic, and bacteriological diagnostic analyses. The course also imparts knowledge of the collection, testing, documentation, and reporting of samples. Some of the major subjects taught in this program are Clinical Endocrinology & Toxicology, Diagnostic Molecular Biology, Advanced Diagnostic Techniques, Microbiology and Diagnostic Cytology etc.

After successfully completing the Bachelors in Medical Laboratory Science program, students will have the opportunity to pursue a Master of Medical Laboratory Sciences under the Fellowship program. While pursuing the Master’s program, they will also be eligible for a stipend of approximately Rs. 30,000 per month.
Medical Laboratory Science offers practical and theoretical knowledge about the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of various kinds of diseases with the help of clinical laboratory tests. This paramedical program allows students to perform various diagnoses on body fluids, which include haematology, immunologic, bacteriology, chemical and microscopic. Medical Laboratory Science usually prepares students for careers in hospital labs and clinics, industrial research labs, veterinary clinics, forensic labs, and, molecular biotechnology labs, etc.
