From CPUs to GPUs to TPUs

Applications like Google Home, Google Maps, Google Assistant are becoming part of our day to day life. They process huge amount of data and apply smart algorithms using Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Deep Learning. In order to run these and many more such applications state of the art hardware is required that could offer fast processing of data in a fraction if nanoseconds or so. We know this hardware by the name of Central Processing Unit or CPU. Then there is Graphics Processing Unit or GPU specifically intended for display devices for image processing and graphical applications. Internet of Things (IoT) as we know is the interconnection of physical devices/gadgets like vehicles, home appliances, machines over the network or internet. Almost all 'things' in IoT do contain certain common components that allow them to connect to network and be controlled over it.
