Virtual Reality based Driving Simulator

VR technology has been incorporated in a driving simulator by creating a virtual 3D city environment with real world road situations, traffic lights, traffic signs, crossings, traffic etc. A custom made steering wheel and pedals (break and accelerator) have been developed using an electronic system to interact with the VR environment running on a smartphone. User wears a VR headset and sits in a simulator to learn driving using this patented technology that is developed by the student start-up – 6DOF Solutions Pvt. Ltd. and is currently at TRL6.
