Funnel cum Candle System for Water Purification

Due to industrialization and geochemical reactions, fluoride is enhancing in groundwater in India. There are many location in the Malwa region of Punjab where fluoride is higher than 1.5 ppm which is not under permissible range for drinking water.

A funnel cum candle system having ingredients of agro wasteto reduce the fluoride from 10 ppm to less than 1 ppm has been developed, which has been patented as well. This has been used in earthen potable system. The purified water from this system has been tested and found suitable for drinking purposes.
