Automated Dialysis System for Protein Purification

This patented technology automatically changes water in the dialysis vessel based on turbidity values. In this way, the diffusion rate will never reduce as fresh water will be replenished as soon as the concentration approaches equilibrium. This process is much more economical compared to continuous systems as large volume of protein can be dialyzed without wasting much water/buffer, as distilled water is a precious commodity.

This device is capable of dialyzing 500 ml of protein solution at a time without compromising the quality of the final product. This device has a feature of automatic activation of multiple Peltier cooling units in case of buffer temperature exceeds 4-6o C. The modular nature of the device offers great flexibility in operation, cleaning, and disinfection.
