Indigenous Development of Battery Management System for Lithium Batteries

There is a need for the development of new processes and technologies that improve and enhance the safety, performance, life cycle, etc. of lithium batteries, such as fast charging, better thermalmanagement, active cooling solutions, increased life cycle, etc.This would require the in-house design and development of battery management system, which will monitor, control, and regulate factors such as voltage ¤t cut-off, SOC&SOC measurements, temperature control, communications, etc.

Currently,most battery management systems are imported from countries like China and Taiwan and they are found to be unreliable. Moreover, there are challenges associated with implementing communication interfaces with the imported battery management systems.
