A National Workshop-cum-Seminar for MSMEs was held in Chandigarh on September 3, 2026, bringing together government officials, industry representatives, and key stakeholders to deliver the various support mechanisms available for MSMEs. This event also emphasized the role of institutional collaboration in strengthening regional MSMEs and facilitating access to government support, innovation, and entrepreneurial opportunities.

It was organized by the MSME Development and Facilitation Office (DFO), Ludhiana, under the Ministry of MSME. The event was graced by distinguished dignitaries, including Shri. A. L. Aggarwal, President, Chandigarh Industrial Fasteners Association; Shri. Krishan Kumar, Assistant Director, MSME DFO, Ludhiana; Shri. Pradeep Mongia, State President – Punjab, Laghu Udyog Bharti; and Shri. Surya Bhushan, Branch Head, National Small Industries Corporation Ltd.

A team from Chitkara University TEC, comprising Dr. Chanpreet, Mr. Lovit, and Mr. Aniket, attended the event. Chitkara University TEC works closely with the MSME DFO, Ludhiana, to support MSMEs in the region. CU-TEC is also a host institution under the MSME Innovation Scheme. The event provided useful insights into various MSME schemes, support, and opportunities.
