Event Details

Registration Process

Registration starts on 29th January & closes on 3rd February. There is a selection process & if the participant is selected he/she will be informed via email.

Date And Time

Final event will take place on 13th and 14th March 2024.

Team Allocation

Teams will be formed on 5th and 6th February.

Awards

Award Ceremony will take place after the final presentation to the jury members.

Sandbox is an offline event and will take place at Chitkara University, Punjab Campus

To participate in Sandbox, you must be a student in a UG or PG program of any year at Chitkara University.

Registration started on 20th August and is open till 15th September. Fill out the form on the Sandbox website.

No. You do not need to pay for anything.

Post your registration, your groups will be formed by the managing committee and you will be informed via email.

No. You will be provided with the necessary resources for the competition.

Yes. Your design/ solution will be submitted as either a prototype/ mood board/ high fidelity wireframe or a presentation not exceeding 5 slides. More information will be provided on your orientation day

  • The prototype/ presentation/ wireframe which you will present will be viewed by all those present at the event and the participants own the responsibility of protecting their prototype. Participants will also own the responsibility of reviewing the infringement, copyright, duplication and any violation of IP law there-in
  • Participants will not engage in any kind of copyright infringement of ideas which they might find over the internet while participating. Participants will refrain from any kind of plagiarism and will bring forward their own authentic ideas

Independent jury will weigh your design/ solution against the following criteria-

  • Innovation

  • Real world relevance
  • Feasibility
  • Business viability
  • Impact

Yes. All team members need to be present in person throughout the competition. Remote participation is not advised.

You will receive more information on your Orientation Day for the event. You will be notified of the day well in advance.

All team/s submissions must comply with the rules set by the organizing committee. You will be notified of these rules shortly and during your orientation.

Disqualification is at the sole discretion of the committee and the jury if the submission does not comply with the rules and or if following incidents occur -

  • Not adhering to the terms and the conditions laid out by the committee and jury
  • Participating or in any way initiating harm, mental or physical to any participant, organizer, jury or any person
  • Damaging property of any participant or at the campus
  • Property may include laptop, desktop, furniture or any resource which is being used or is in the vicinity of the event area
  • Depict or refer to any crude, vulgar, obscene, sexually explicit, disparaging, discriminatory, offensive, illegal or otherwise unsuitable language activity or any content
  • Contain any content that violates any law or any third party’s rights (including privacy and intellectual property rights)
