World Radiography Day at Chitkara University

World Radiography Day celebrates the discovery of X-radiation, and also aims to raise awareness regarding radiographic imaging and therapy, which play a crucial role in the diagnosis and the treatment of patients, and hence improving the quality standard of patient care.

Chitkara School of Health Sciences observed World Radiography Day endorsing health professionals specializing in imaging of human anatomy, promote radiography as a vital contribution to Healthcare and increase public awareness of Diagnostic Imaging & Radiation therapy.

Prof. Kushaljit Singh Sodhi, Head of Radiodiagnosis and Imaging, PGIMER, Chandigarh, was the Chief Guest at the occasion. Addressing the Medical Imaging Technology students, he talked about the role of Computed Tomography (CT) and MRI in cardiac radiology. A play “Vikiran & Chikitsa Vigyan”, Visheshagya Charcha, Quiz Competition by Fortis Interns and pledge on Patient safety & Ethical practices were highlights of the day. Students, Jhanvi Sharma and Vanshika Pathania won the Poster Competition.
