Chitkara University ranks 14th among India’s Best Private Universities by India Today
Chitkara University, Punjab has once again achieved high rankings in the MDRA Best Universities Survey 2022 by India Today. Chitkara University has been ranked 14th among India’s Best General (Private) Universities, 3rd among India’s Top Private Universities for the ’Highest Number of Patents Granted in the Past 3 years and 5th among India’s top private universities for the ’Highest Number of Patents Filled’ in the Past 3 years. The India Today-MDRA Best Universities Survey 2022 maps the country’s higher education landscape to bring you institutes that have sparked a revolution in pedagogy and given students a unique learning experience.

MDRA thoroughly attuned 120-plus attributes during objective ranking to present the most comprehensive and balanced comparisons of universities. These parameters were grouped into the following categories: reputation and governance, academic and research excellence, infrastructure and living experience, personality and leadership development, and career progression and placement. A perception survey was conducted among 300 well-informed respondents from 30 cities. While assessing objective ratings, it was made sure that no aggregate data was used and that the data was normalised. For the total combined score, the total scores from the objective and perception surveys were summed in a 50:50 ratio. With more than 1,000 universities, including 522 general, 177 technical, 66 medical and 23 law, the India Today Group’s annual ranking of Best Universities has a special place in the country’s academic calendar.
