A unique exposition of Android Apps developed by MCA students

An exposition was organized by Department of Computer Applications, Department of Computer Sciences, Chitkara University, of Android Apps developed by MCA students (3rd and 5th Semester).

The students who have opted for CU-Industry Co-op Track and are currently undergoing internships in various software development companies such as Trideal, Media Web Pixels Ltd., Bebo Technologies, etc. also showcased the apps developed by them for their respective organizations. The apps that were showcased had been hand picked by the faculty members and are meant to be used by a varied class of users, be it a 3-year old kid who is all set to learn alphabets, or a college-going teenager who wants to send customized e-cards to his friends over the smart phone, or a businessman who wants to communicate with his counterparts in the different geographical regions. The apps confirm to high standards of quality, with a majority of those apps already being live on Google Play Store and available for downloading by general public. Other apps are also being prepared to go live on PlayStore after undergoing rigorous testing and debugging. The exposition attracted visitors in appreciable number from various departments of CU-Punjab campus. Dr. Archana Mantri, Professor, Chitkara University also visited the exposition and showed keen interest in the apps being displayed by the students. She appreciated the students for their efforts in developing the apps, and also suggested improvements wherever necessary.

The visitors lauded the Department of Computer Applications for organizing this event and wished success for all such future endeavours. The event was conceptualised by Mr. Vikram Mangla, Dy. Dean, Department of Computer Applications, and was coordinated by faculty members Mr. Preetinder Singh Brar and Mr. Jaswinder Singh, Ms. Deepika Chaudhary.
