Tuning Tuesdays: Chitkara University Hostellers Groove to Bollywood Beats

Chitkara University’s hostellers were in for a treat during the ‘Bollywood Night’ Dance Workshop held on 28th February 2023 as part of Tuning Tuesdays, an initiative by The Office of Student Affairs. This event aimed to bring fun, learning, and joy to the students, and it did not disappoint. The workshop was led by two skilled instructors who taught the students a complete Bollywood song from scratch, setting the stage for an evening filled with dancing and learning.

The workshop provided an opportunity for the students to express themselves creatively and showcase their talents in front of a supportive audience. The atmosphere was electric, and the students were completely engrossed in the dance, enjoying every moment of the practice. The instructors were highly skilled and had a great ability to break down the steps of the dance routine, making it easier for the students to understand and learn.

Over a hundred students were ready to dance and learn, surrounded by an enthusiastic audience outside Square One. They rehearsed the complete song bit by bit, perfecting and enjoying every step. The students were completely involved in the process, and their dedication was evident in the final performance.

After two hours of practice, they presented their final version of the dance, passing the ‘Kala Chashma’ vibe check even without the glasses. The audience cheered in delight as everyone, including the students, came forward for a freestyle dance.

The success of the ‘Bollywood Night’ Dance Workshop has left the students eagerly waiting for the next Tuning Tuesday’s event. These events provide a much-needed break from academic life and offer a platform for students to explore their creative side and showcase their talents.
