Toastmasters International to sharpen public speaking skills in Chitkara students

To give that extra edge to our students over others, Chitkara University plans to initiate confidence building among our students and for this the University brings the Toastmasters International, a club, which aims at focused emphasis on honing public speaking and leadership quotient in youngsters.

In tandem with their motto ‘Where leaders are made’ the club has embarked on the journey to enable students to work on their oratory skills and explore the leader in them.

The club is known internationally and now finds its roots in Chitkara giving students an excellent platform to groom and develop.

With Toastmasters, it is our vision to see our students well articulated, self-assured, confident, with a refined sense of presenting their thoughts tersely and being a critical listener. It has been said about leadership that ‘But just what do we mean by ‘leadership? It would be capacity to look ahead, think ahead, plan ahead and then influence other people to go ahead on the plan.’

Going by this, this unique initiative by Chitkara University has been taken with an aim to allow our students explore their true potential and hone future leaders in themselves by enabling them to listen, think critically, plan, organize, manage time, facilitate, motivate, mentor and build a team.
