Toastmasters Hosted “Biographies and Press Conference” Annual Event 2015

Chitkara University Toastmasters hosted Annual Event 2015 “Biographies and Press Conference” and Mr. Arun Kumar Kapoor, Former CEO ZEE Taj Tv was the Chief Guest and esteemed Judge for the event.

The Gen next students enacted well renowned personalities like Virat Kohli, Ellen DeGenres, Shashi Tharoor, Michelle Obama and so on, the ambience of the event created due to their detailed and extensive research, gave a real touch to the event.The event, which was between Chitkara Univeristy, Punjab and Chitkara University, Himachal Pradesh, was designed as such, where the participants essayed the biography of a distinguished personality and thereafter had to face a Press-Conference, where a volley of interesting and controversial questions were thrown at the participant. The Journalists on the other hand grilled the personalities left, right and centre with questions that would have brought sweat to the foreheads of the real personalities as well.

Harnoor Singh portraying Shashi Tharoor bagged the title of best speaker and walked away with a cash prize of 20,000 INR, while Haripriya Chauhan and Sakshi Sehajpal, both essaying Malala Yousafzai were bestowed with title of 2nd Best and 3rd Best Speaker and were awarded with a cash prize of 15,000 and 10,000 INR respectively. The event also recognized the Best Journalist, a title won by Nivranshu Sharma with a cash prize of 5000 INR.Chitkara University, Punjab lifted the grand Winning Trophy.
