Valorant tournament concludes with a brimming response from students & faculty
The Dice-Chitkara E-Sports club, in partnership with Chitkara University Sports Board, Matrix club, and SKOAR(SCGC) organized an open forum for gaming experience as well as a Valorant tournament with a prize pool of Rs.10000/- for the students of Chitkara University, where the top of the line gaming equipment was provided by the SCGC from Delhi.
The event started on the 19th and concluded on the 21st of February where the first two days of competition took place online, and a total of 14 teams participated. The top two teams were selected from the aforementioned online qualifiers who battled it out for the top spot offline on “LAN”. The winner of the tournament was given a prize of Rs.5000/- in form of Amazon gift cards whereas the team in the 2nd position was given a prize of Rs.2500/- followed by a prize of Rs.1500/- to the 3rd position. Certificates and medals were also handed out to the winning teams by both Skoar! and Chitkara University furthermore the MVP(Most valuable player) from the winning team was gifted a TP link router.
A free for all gaming experience was also organised where various gaming equipment was provided to students to enjoy and use absolutely free of cost. More than 500 students showed up and freely enjoyed the gaming experience zone.Playstation-5 along with a LED,10 Lenovo laptops with all the state of art peripherals, and two VR headsets were amongst the high-tech equipment kept at the experience zone.
To say that the event was a big success as students waited in long queues to come and avail the chance to use the various top-of-the-line technologies.
