Tanisha Dua, Rubal Kalia from Chitkara College of Hospitality declared winners at PARYATAN PARV 2017
The tri-city organized an array of events to celebrate “PARYATAN PARV”. One of the most important events of the celebrations was an Inter-College Tourism Quiz Competition. The quiz tested the participants about knowledge on Indian Tourism and its related aspects.
There were about eight teams from different hospitality Institutes of the region were a part of this competition.
The students were asked questions on topics specifically related to Indian tourism:
- Natural Tourism resources in India
- Popular Tourist Destination of India
- Heritage Tourism in India
- Cultural Tourism in India
- Chandigarh Tourism
The quiz was divided into three rounds, which were based on various aspects of tourism and India’s culture. In the first round, each team was asked questions based on different dance forms of India, State tourism tagline and few religious tourism destinations India has.
The second round saw visuals that depicted various places of tourist interest in India and students were asked where these places were situated and the states in which they were based. Tanisha and Rubal sure had a tough call but they gave it a good shot and excelled.
The third and final round was a rapid fire round in which teams were given one minute time and the freedom of answering as many questions as they can. The questions asked during this round were based on Indian tourism and Chandigarh tourism.
