Tamanna Bhasin, ECE batch 2012 leads the TSAT contingent in Republic Day Parade at Rajpath, New Delhi
Chitkara University had its very own proud moment on Rajpath, New Delhi, at the Republic Day Parade. It was indeed a moment that Chitkara University will forever cherish as Captain Tamanna Bhasin – an illustrious alumni of Chitkara University, Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) Batch 2012, was the Contingent Commander of TSAT vehicle, which is a DEFCON equipment providing communication to Army, Airforce and Navy.
She was one of three young Indian Army Officers, who were an integral part of Republic Day Parade at Rajpath New Delhi. The brave Indian women are eager to take up every role offered to them by the Army. During the Republic Day Parade, a notable participation from women was witnessed, including an extremely smart turnout and display by Capt Tamanna. “It is a prestigious thing being a girl to be a part of this organisation,” Capt. Tamanna said, adding that, “She was chosen based on merit and not gender.” This is the spirit that we salute and we know that our alumni, wherever they are, will do wonders, as we groom them and teach them to do so.
Capt. Tamanna plays a vital role for this country and amongst her several activities as an officer, another to be mentioned is her participation in traversing approximately 1000 km by road to 1 Signal Training Centre located at Jabalpur. She had led a team of three JCOs and 20 PBORs in a cycling expedition displaying a never die spirit and spreading the message of Swachh Bharat along the way.
Great going Capt. Tamanna and all the best.
