A symposium on recent advances in lab diagnostic techniques was organized by Chitkara School of Health Sciences. The symposium successfully presented an opportunity for the professionals of medical lab technology to learn Recent Advances in Diagnostic Techniques.
Guest speakers Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Professor and Head, Department of Bio-chemistry, PGIMER, Chandiagrh, Dr. Geeta Shroff, Founder and Medical Director, Nutech Mediworld, New Delhi, India and Dr. Apra Kalra, Head Blood Bank, Fortis Hospital, Mohali gave a talk on the recent advancements in lab diagnostic techniques.
The symposium stated that over the past several decades, advanced lab techniques in diagnostic aspect quietly have been revolutionizing the practice of clinical diagnostic in the hospital setting. Indeed, diagnostic testing in general has been heralded as diagnostic tools for the new millennium.
There is no question that the development of rapid diagnostic techniques combined with automation and user-friendly software has greatly broadened the diagnostic capabilities of the clinical laboratory. These technical advances over the first decade of the 21st Century have profoundly influenced the physical structure of laboratories as well as their staffing patterns, workflow, and turnaround time.
A poster presentation competition was also held at the end based on the theme,’ Recent Advances in Lab Diagnostic Techniques’.
