SUFY Club commemorates National Voters’ Day
It is important for us to make our students not only able professionals but good citizens also. For this, Chitkara University carries out events through which students are informed about their responsibilities towards their country and their duties.
One such event where they were made to participate in a group discussion on the importance of voting was on the National Voters’ Day.
The event was carried out by SUFY Club at Chitkara University, Himachal Pradesh. The event was intended to mark the Annual Voters’ day of India. The event began with a Group Discussion. The finalists then took part in a Debate on topic “Communist Government: A derivative of Dictatorship?”
During the debate students delved into the topic with sheer confidence, ideas and expression. The debate also had attractive cash prizes worth Rs 3000 and a total of three winners were chosen during the event.
The debate proved to be a conflict of ideas, perceptions and it also made the students aware of their duties and responsibilities as a citizen of India.
