Students win runner-up award at All India Inter-University Roller Hockey Championship at PU, Chandigarh

Chitkara University students won the overall runners-up awards (silver medal) in the All India Inter-University Roller Hockey Championship held at Punjab University, Chandigarh.

Punjab University organized the All India Inter-University Roller Sports Championships (Men & Women) for Speed Skating, Artistic Skating, Roller Hockey, Inline Hockey & Skateboarding events from 6th to 11th November 2017 at Punjab University, Chandigarh.

There was an array of events lined up for the participants. These events saw massive participation from various colleges and universities, Chitkara University being one of them. The Chitkara team was appreciated for its excellent display and applauded for their efforts. The margin was extremely narrow between runners-up and the winners. Clad in smart reds and blacks, our team performed like pros on the field. They gave a tough time to their opponents and received many appreciating glances from everyone at the event. Balancing well on skates, they played to their best ability in front of a huge audience that broke into applause at every hit.
