Students visit Verka Milk Plant

The knowledge of hospitality students should not be limited to only cooking up delectable dishes or serving guests at a hotel or resort, hospitality students should know about the ingredients they use to stir up delicacies. They should know how these things are processed and stored too. To enhance the knowledge of students regarding the manufacturing and processing of milk, Chitkara School of hospitality organized an industrial visit to Verka Milk Plant at Mohali.

This industrial visit was for the students of IHM, first semester on 23 August 2014. These students were escorted to the industry, along with their faculty members Mr. Ravi Dandotiya and Ms. Dimpy Bhat. Students got first-hand information regarding the manufacturing, processing and packaging of milk, curd and cheese. Students were very excited as they practically experienced the whole process.
