I.E.I (India) Students’ Chapter organised Industrial Visit for Mechanical Engineering Students. The aim of the visit was to keep the students updated about the latest advancements.
To keep students abreast with latest state of art technologies being used in industries, I.E.I (India) Students’ Chapter organised industrial visits for second-year Mechanical Engineering students.
Around 45 students visited Mahindra & Mahindra Plant-I Swaraj Tractor Division, Mohali, accompanied by Mr Chanpreet Singh and Mr Hemant Kumar. The students were introduced to different steps and technologies involved in the manufacturing of tractors. Such practical exposures help students in better understanding of theoretical concepts.
The knowledge of engineering students should not be limited to only classroom lectures. They need industrial exposure and witness how technology takes twists and turns for a better future. The visit proved to be helpful for the students and they were given detailed knowledge of various steps involved in making tractors right from the scratch.
