Researchers & Academicians from various colleges, universities, attend IEEE sponsored conference at Chitkara University

Chitkara Department of Computer Sciences, Department of Computer Applications, Chitkara University, Punjab, organized IEEE sponsored Conference Information Management in the Knowledge Economy IMKE 2013.

It was the first IEEE conference of the department. Dr. Ashok K Chitkara, Chancellor, Chitkara University, was the Guest of Honour for the day. Dr. S.P. Sood, Head e-Governance, Chandigarh Administration, Chandigarh, was the chief guest. Dr. Deepak Garg, Head, Computer Science Department, Thapar College, was the Keynote Speaker. Two distinguish guest from CSI (Computer Society of India), Chandigarh Chapter were present as guest for the day.

In all, 150 research papers were received where 50 high-quality papers were selected for IEEE explore. Out of these, 21 participants were present on the day, which include two participants from New Zealand and one from Japan. Two participants each from Canada & Saudi Arabia present their research paper through Skype call. Rest all were from reputed universities and colleges of the country. Four delegates were present to attend the conference from the southern part of the country.

As a keynote speaker, Dr. Deepak Garg presented his talk on “The future of online courses-MOOC”.

All the participants were provided with conference certificates.
