Students from various colleges participated in annual media fest ‘Udaan’16’ with great zeal at CSMC

Chitkara School of Mass Communication’s (CSMC) Annual Media Fest ‘UDAAN ‘16 concluded with a gala ceremony on Friday 11th November 2016. With 14 events of Udaan’16 held in the course of the day students of the final batches of MAJMC and BAJMC worked overtime (literally) as the events were conducted in clockwork fashion. The events were conducted exclusively in the school campus using all the facilities available in the school. The fest was declared open by Dr Madhu Chitkara, Vice-Chancellor as the Pulitzer Hall overflowed with students, participants and visiting teachers.

In the writing event “Scribble Pad, First prize went to Bharti Sharma from Doaba College, Jalandhar. In Catch the Glimpse Albish from ITFT College grabbed the first prize. First prize in RJ Hunt was won by Shivangi from Panjab University, Chandigarh, and in News Flash first prize went to Suhel from Punjabi University, Patiala.

Manish Kumar, Dimple Saini and Rakesh from Kurukshetra University were given the first prize in Taza Khabar while in Additivity first prize went to Doaba College, Jalandhar. For Documentary, First prize went to DAV College for Girls. Rohit Rana received the First prize in Frame Box while in Tickle Your Brain the holders of the first prize were Sehjal Pal and Sukriti Bahuguna from Guru Nanak Dev University (Regional Campus Jalandhar). The first prize trophy in Tooncature was awarded to Robert from Doaba while in the Curtain call Doaba College again won first prize . Inderjeet Singh from Doaba College won first prize in Selfie and the top spot in Mishmosh was awarded to Dimple from Kurukshetra University.

Doaba College, Jalandhar, won the “Overall Winner’s Trophy in Media Fest Udaan’16 at Chitkara School of Mass Communication. Dr Ashok Chitkara, Chancellor and Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Chitkara University, handed over the Glittering Trophy to the Winning Team.
