Students go for industrial visit under the aegis of Institution of Engineers

Students from Electrical and Electronics Engineering of Chitkara University went on an industrial visit under the Students’ Chapter of Institution of Engineers

The industrial visit planned for the students was to Rajeev Paper Mill, Patiala. The students were accompanied by Mr. Subhash Kumar and Ms. Nishkam Dhiman.

It was a learning experience for our students indeed. The students came to know all about paper manufacturing, how is the raw material used to make paper, how is it made in huge sheets and then how are these sheets cut into smaller usable sheets. Apart from this, the students also learnt about the working of Boiler’s used in industry.
Students got exposure to state of art technologies being adopted at industries and were able to correlate theoretical knowledge taught in class, with its implementation in industries. After taking with employees in company students came to know about how difficult industry life is and the employees at industry motivated them and gave tips on how to succeed and grow in industry.

Chitkara University keeps organizing field visits for the students to ensure that the students have enough practical exposure and knowledge as bookish knowledge is not enough.
