Seventy-two students, faculty donate blood

About 72 students and faculty members of the University donated blood at a blood donation camp organized by NSS volunteers of the University.

The camp was organised‬ in co-ordination with I.G. Medical College, Shimla, and several students along with faculty members donated their blood to contribute their bit to save human lives.

India has a massive shortage of blood that can save several lives. This shortage can be fulfilled if we decide to donate blood atleast once a year. It was not only boys who came forward to donate blood, even girls volunteered to give blood.

Blood donation is service to humankind and by donating blood you many and save a precious life. Our students and staff were at it with all their compassion and willingness. The University organizes blood donation camp and other camps that addresses various social concerns on a regular basis and our NSS volunteers are an integral part of these various activities that are carried out in the University and outside it.

The camp proved to be successful and a lot of enthusiasm was seen among the students and the staff of the University.
