Sandeep, BAJMC Student for an Internship Project “Explore Russia” AIESEC in Moscow

Sandeep Chakraborty of Chitkara School of Mass Communication (B.A in Journalism and Mass Communication) Student represented Chitkara University for an Internship Project “Explore Russia” at Moscow, Russia, through AIESEC.

AIESEC is a global platform for young people to explore and develop their leadership potential. AIESEC was founded in 1948 in seven countries in Europe by Jean Choplin (France), Bengt Sjøstrand (Sweden), and Dr. Albert Kaltenthaler (Germany). Over 65 years later, it is present in 126 countries and territories.

Communication with people from different countries helps one look at the world from different points of view and enables one to look at other countries’ problems from the point of view of their citizens, this is what the exposure was all about for Sandeep. It has made him a world citizen who is responsible not only for one’s own life and one’s own nation, but who also thinks globally and tries to gain the readiness to change the world.

Additionally, international connections help one become open-minded and learn something new about different cultures and traditions everyday and to understand the world more deeply.
Another benefit that he derived from communicating regularly with foreigners is daily practice of English or other languages and getting information about his professional field from different points of view or even about something new. Besides personal skills it gave him useful professional skills as well.
