Rohit Gupta, Chetan Kaushik from Computer Science and Engineering to work as summer interns with ace organisations

Google Summer of Code has spelt success for two students of Department of Computer Science & Engineering. Rohit Gupta and Chetan Kaushik, second year students have been selected through an international-level competition “Google Summer of Code (GSoC)” to work with the most prestigious organizations as summer interns.
Rohit and Chetan will be mentored remotely by the experts from these organizations and would be working for the most prestigious open source organizations -AOSSIE -An Australian National University’s Open Source Software Innovation and Education and FOSSASIA – Asia’s Open Technology Organization for Open Source.
About 12,000+ students, 104 countries, 12 years, 568 open source organizations, 30,000,000+ lines of code. Google Summer of Code is a global program focused on bringing more student developers into open source software development. Students work with an open source organization on a three-month programming project during their break from school. We are glad that Rohit and Chetan have been shortlisted for getting mentored by global experts and this is just the start. Mentors and students work together to determine appropriate milestones and requirements for the summer. Mentor interaction is a vital part of the program.
