Rocking the beat with Freshers’18
It’s official: Freshers’ Party – BIENVENUE’18, concluded on a high note bringing with it a fun-packed evening, foot tapping numbers and a full dose of fun, food & laughter.
Dubbed the highlight party of year, Chitkara University’s fresher’s welcome party had students working tirelessly to put together entertainment programs that enthralled the distinguished guests and audience alike and drew them irresistibly on to the stage to join in the fun.
To accord the newcomers a warm welcome and make them feel at home, the ceremony was blessed with the gracious presence of our honorable Vice Chancellor Dr. Madhu Chitkara.
This year’s event was themed, Olympus – Greek Gods and Goddesses, and all the contestants dressed accordingly and enthusiastically competed for various titles. They put their best foot forward as they were judged on the basis of their talent, wit, appearance and intelligent answers in the question rounds. After the two-round contest, the panel of esteemed judges, Dr. Gurpreet Bedi and Ms. Guneet Kaur, announced the following title winners: Ishan Turki as Master Erudite and Guru K. Kaur as Miss Elysian (for Intelligence); Navneet Singh as Master Genteel and Shruti as Miss Bellisima (for Style); Shreyas as Master Hercules and Ritika Singh as Miss Aphrodite (for Theme).
The highlight of the evening was the selection of Mr. and Ms. Chitkara 2018. The prestigious title was bagged by Tshering (Chitkara Idol Male) and Kanupriya Sachdeva (Chitkara Idol Female).
Following the coronation ceremony, youngsters were seen swaying to the music as Arzz Band set the tone for the night with their eclectic selection of live Retro, Hip Hop, Commercial & Bollywood music.
