Radio Chitkara participated in “National Community Radio Sammelan” in New Delhi

It is almost three and half years that Radio Chitkara is serving its community in Punjab through air waves and relevant programming. This year too, the station was represented by Mr. Pankaj Garg in the 6th National Community Radio Sammelan organized by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. On this occasion, a Compendium was released by Mr. Arun Jaitly (Minister for Information & Broadcasting) who also delivered the inaugural address. Mr. Rajyavardhan Rathore (Minister of State, Information & Broadcasting) gave the keynote address.

The theme of the sammelan was “Community Radio in India: Towards Diversity & Sustainability.” During the sammelan various sessions were planned on subjects like opportunity for community radio sector, best practices, experience sharing by CR stations etc. The national community radio awards were also given on the opening day.
