Punjab Science, Technology & Environment Department inks MoU with Chitkara University to promote Research & Innovation

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Chitkara University, Punjab; and Department of Science Technology & Environment, Government of Punjab, Chandigarh; on October 12, 2019, at the Punjab campus, to promote Research & Innovation.

The MoU was signed recognising the need to jointly address the issues of State importance pertaining to the environment, climate change and public health to achieve the overall goals and objectives of the newly launched Mission Tandrust Punjab 2.0. The newly inked partnership will promote Research & Innovation ecosystem in the State, as well as Chitkara University, using R&I in areas of mutual interest to enhance competitiveness, boost economic growth and create quality jobs.

It may be recalled that Punjab government has launched Mission Innovate Punjab and Mission Tandrust Punjab, under the aegis of Department of Science, Technology & Environment (DSTE) to make Punjab the Healthiest State.
