Pre-Republic Day Camp events at Chitkara University
The Government of India and the Ministry of Youth Affairs in association with NSS Regional Directorate, Chandigarh conducted three days Pre-Republic Day camp from 13th to15th December 2020 at Chitkara University, Punjab.
The camp began with the welcoming of NSS Officials, Student volunteers and Contingent leaders from different states. A total of 70 NSS volunteers from Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab State participated in the camp.
The performers displayed their rich and vibrant culture through Singing, Dancing, Monologues, and playing of Music Instruments on the first day which was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone present.
The second day witnessed the NCC parade session. NSS Officials adjudged 70 volunteers for the selection of 12 best volunteers for the Republic Day parade camp at Rajpath, New Delhi.
The last day began with the hope of selecting the best candidates. The day was summed up with group performances and the felicitation of all the Delegates, Contingent leaders and NSS volunteers. The day was concluded with Pro Chancellor, Dr. Madhu Chitkara, congratulating NSS volunteers for their hard work, dedication and enthusiastic participation.
The registrations of all the performers were done after their COVID-19 tests.
