Patents hands-on training-cum workshop conducted by School of Applied Sciences

School of Applied Sciences,
Chitkara University, Punjab, organised a patents hands-on training-cum-workshop. Emphasizing on the usefulness of this workshop and after brief introductory lecture, an interactive session was taken by Faculty-cum-trainer Dr. Parikshit Bansal who is the former head, IPR and technology licensing, NIPER, Mohali and Ms. Komal Bansal, patent and trade mark agent and proprietor, corporate consultant.

A practical session was conducted for the participants’ based on computer system on different exercises and Patent information extraction forms were distributed among 40 participants who were from different fields like engineering , nursing, sciences, computer applications, etc. Faculty, researchers and students were the part of this workshop.

The workshop was organized by Dr. Jyotsna Kaushal, Deputy Dean of School of Applied Sciences. The workshop turned out to be extremely useful both for the students as well as the faculty and the participants thanked their department for conducting the workshop.
