Our Journalism and Mass Communication students take part in ABP News’ Shikhar Sammelan Show

B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication (BAJMC) IV sem and M.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication (MAJMC) II Sem students of Chitkara School of Mass Communication at Chitkara University were part of ABP News show ‘Shikhar Sammelan’ on 12 March 2018 at Chandigarh which went on live for the entire day on the TV channel. This Sammelan was organized by the channel on the completion of one year of Punjab Government in power and was based on achievements, failures and vision ahead of the state.

The students listened and interacted with various cabinet ministers, opposition members, MPs, Former CM and Deputy CM of the state. It included Ms Rajinder Kaur Bhattal (former CM), Mr Sukhpal Khaira (leader of opposition in Punjab Assembly), Mr Pratap Singh Bajwa (MP) , Mr Bhagwant Man (MP), Mr Sukhbir Singh Badal (former CM), Mr Manpreet Singh Badal, Mr Navjot Singh Sidhu (cabinet minister).
They also met all the star news anchors of the channel and reporters of ABP News including Mr Debang, Romana Isar Khan, Jagwinder Partial and Mr Anurag Muskan.

The students got to know how multi-camera production is done in real time and how the anchors do their job while facing the camera. They understood that proper research work on subject and people is essential before asking a question and how to adhere to time limits.
