NSS Volunteers honoured by HRD Minister Shri Prakash Javadekar at National Convention of Student Volunteers
Students of Chitkara University honoured at “Digital Financial Literacy Campaign” during National Convention of Student Volunteers at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi.
Suryamani, Sidharth Sharma and Devika Singla, NSS Volunteers of Chitkara University were honoured by Shri. Prakash Javadekar, Hon’ble Minister for Human Resource Development and Shri. Ravi Shankar Prasad, Hon’ble Minister for Electronics and Information Technology at National Convention of Student Welfare for their commendable work to train more than 2000 people of the nearby community and making the “Digital Campaign” a success story for Chitkara University.
National Convention of student volunteers was organised on 8th March 2017 at Plenary Hall, Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi under Digital Financial Literacy Campaign. More than 1000 volunteers participated in the programme in which 350 volunteers were honoured for their exemplary contribution to training the community for Digital Literacy in India. The student volunteers under Digital Financial Literacy Campaign worked wholeheartedly for the widespread dissemination of the Ideas of Hon’ble Prime Minister on Digital Economy so that the resources of the nation could be utilised in a transparent manner.
Under the guidance of Ms Neelam (Programme Coordinator NSS), the NSS volunteers of our University worked passionately, enthusiastically & rigorously to achieve this glorious platform.
Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Chitkara University congratulated the Wining Team for their stupendous efforts, passion and their unmatched & phenomenal contribution towards this Campaign.
