NSS volunteers attend workshop for simplified understanding of Fundamental Rights, gender equality

A workshop for a simplified understanding of Fundamental Rights and the concept of gender equality – ‘Know Your Rights’ was organised for NSS volunteers at Chitkara University, Punjab campus, on September 20, 2019.

Expert trainer from ITC Vivel, Ms. Avneet Kaur, inspired students to be equality champions and empower others for a more gender-equal India. The workshop was organised by the National Service Scheme, Chitkara University; in collaboration with Vivel.

In the last six months, Vivel’s Know Your Rights initiative has reached many universities and colleges through active workshops across the country. Vivel hopes to inspire a collective of young individuals to be equality champions and empower others for a more gender-equal India through this outreach. As part of its brand philosophy, Vivel launched ‘AbSamjhautaNahin’ a website designed for a simplified understanding of laws around women’s rights. Compiled in an FAQ format and available in English and Hindi language, Vivel seeks to empower women and enable self-action.
