NSS volunteers air relief operations following Nepal earthquake
Chitkara University has been continuously engaged in various social welfare activities that have been on for long. The latest one being aiding the ongoing relief efforts for victims of earth quake in our friendly neighbourhood Nepal.
We have students from Nepal on the campus and we have felt every bit of pain our students have felt being away from their families. Our volunteers have helped the relief operations by donating water bottles, medicines, blankets, tents and eatables by sending them off for those in need at Nepal. The initiative was taken under the aegis of NSS Wing of Chitkara University.
The most important human value that we see missing today is compassion as it is the value that binds everyone and everything together and our NSS volunteers are true examples of compassionate people. NSS unit of the University has been doing every bit to help people not only around the University but wherever possible. Our volunteers try to understand the community and make every effort to help them.
