Our Nepalese student Sitashima, Mankirat Singh from MBA, present research papers at International conference
Ms. Sitashma Singh, Student from Nepal and Mr. Mankirat Singh, both of MBA (Finance and Banking), Batch 2014-16, presented their research papers at the Third International Conference on Sustainable Development through Green Initiatives (ICSDGI).
The conference was held at Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib. They presented their research papers entitled “Consumer Awareness Regarding Green Banking in Nepal” and “An Investigation of Forex Risk Management by Small and Medium Enterprises in India”.
State Finance Minister Parminder Singh Dhindsa was present on the occasion where he stated that 4G broadband services would be provided to the people across the state within the next six months.
The minister said necessary steps had been taken to bring more and more area under green cover by planting trees.
Apart from this, points that were discussed at the conference, where the Chitkara team participated in full spirit were, what are sustainable communities? Why are they important? What benefits do they bring? How can we create them? How have communities successfully applied the principles of sustainable development? Its objectives was to demystify and “practicalize” the concept of sustainability and, second, to explain how local governments can apply the important tools of this process to achieving sustainable communities.
The conference was a good exposure for our Nepalese student and the team’s efforts were appreciated by one and all present.
