National Science Day celebrated with fervor
Chitkara School of Applied Sciences celebrated the National Science Day – SBST ’15 (Symbiosis between Science & Technology). The day saw many activities that put to test the knowledge and skills our young students have.
National Science Day is celebrated all over India with great enthusiasm on 28th of February every year in order to commemorate the invention of the Raman Effect in India by the Indian physicist, Sir Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman on the same day in the year 1928.
For his great success in the field of science in India, Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman was awarded and honored with the Nobel Prize in the Physics in the year 1930.
This year, theme of the day was ‘Science for Nation Building’ and was celebrated by students, teachers, scientists and researchers in all the schools, colleges, universities, educational institution including scientific, academic, medical, technical and research institutions of India.
BE first year students and teachers at Chitkara University organized different activities like Constructomania, Geometro art, posterize, Quizence, Royale wrangle,Wire loop, code master, Exposcience, Green o vision. The bhangra team and skit added glitz to the otherwise science based day. The winners and organizing teams were awarded with prizes and certificates.
