National Institute of Advanced Studies in Architecture conducts Training Program at CSPA

National Institute of Advanced Studies in Architecture (NIASA), the academic unit of Council of Architecture, New Delhi conducted Training Program titled – “Regional Faculty Induction Programme” from 22nd -26th June, 2015 at Chitkara School of Planning and Architecture, Chitkara University, Punjab.

Prof. Jayashree Deshpande – Director NIASA, Pune was the Coordinator and Resource Person for this National Level Training Program. The other Resource Persons namely, Prof. Pradnya Chauhan, Architect Yatin Pandya and Prof. Shrikant Bhate trained the participants for effective Architectural Teaching- Learning methodologies during the five day program.

During the training Program Dr. Sangeeta Pant, Dean, Chitkara College of Education for Women (CU), Wg Cdr (Retd.) R S Gill, Vice President, University Affairs, (CU), Dr. Archana Mantri – Professor, Chitkara University, Dr. S.C.Sharma – Registrar (CU) addressed and interacted with the participants. On the concluding day, Dr. Madhu Chitkara – Chancellor, Chitkara University Punjab addressed the participants and awarded them participation certificates upon successful completion of the training program.

Prof. IJS Bakshi – Director CSPA (CU) and Prof.S.S.Bais – Principal, CSPA (CU) also motivated the participants to apply the lessons learnt from the training programme in their teaching career. The Program concluded by final vote of thanks by Prof. Kiran Joshi, Head CCASA (CU). The faculty from – CSPA, CU, Punjab; School of Architecture, MMU Ambala; DCRUST, Murthal, Gateway College of Architecture, Sonepat, Hindu School of Architecture, Sonepat and Guwahati college of Architecture, Guwahati enthusiastically participated in the Training Program.
