National Conference on Advances in Applied Sciences and Mathematics organized by Department of Applied Sciences

The Department of Applied Sciences, Chitkara University, Punjab organized the National Conference on Advances in Applied Sciences and Mathematics on September 24-25, 2020. The primary goal of the conference was to share scientific information among researchers, developers, engineers, students, and practitioners working across the globe. NCASM-20 included Keynote Talks, Video Presentations, E-Poster Presentations and E-Oral Presentations. Participants from all over the world expressed their innovative thoughts and unique research work during this conference. Inauguration of the conference was done by Prof (Dr) Archana Mantri, Vice-Chancellor, Chitkara University, Punjab and Prof (Dr) Varinder S Kanwar, Vice-Chancellor, Chitkara University, Himachal Pradesh.

The valedictory function was addressed by Dr Ashok K Chitkara, Chancellor, Chitkara University, through his golden words and he also congratulated the Organizing Team and Conveners of NCASM-20. Dr Madhu Chitkara, Pro-Chancellor, Chitkara University also graced the session virtually and shared her thoughts. She motivated and encouraged all the participants for the research papers contributed in this conference.

The Organizing Committee of the conference comprised of the faculty members of Department of Applied Sciences, Chitkara University, Punjab, wherein Dr Mohit Kumar Kakkar, Assistant Dean, gave the ‘Vote Of Thanks’ to the participants and organizers, especially to Dr Jasdev Bhatti, Associate Professor and Joint Registrar, Chitkara University, Punjab; Dr DP Gupta, Professor; Dr Arun Upmanyu, Associate Professor; and Dr Reetu Malhotra, Associate Professor, for their valuable inputs and support. A total of 61 oral and 75 posters were presented in these two days of the conference. Winners of the oral and poster presentation of each session were announced. The valedictory session concluded with the National Anthem.

In all, it was quite a successful conference with great participation from across the globe. Heartiest Congratulations to the Department of Applied Sciences for organizing this wonderful conference.
