ME Batch 2016 students ‘voice’ thoughts on social issues, present brilliant theatrical interpretations

Chitkara University Language Centre organised a speaking event ‘Voice of Youth’ for the students of ME Batch 2016, group A to give them an opportunity to express themselves while exhibiting their communication skills.

The event aimed at providing the students with a platform to discuss and express their views on socially significant subjects like Eve Teasing, Corruption, Child Labour, Drug Abuse, Gender Bias and Feminism. Students were divided into groups, assigned a topic and given time slots to present different perspectives on the subjects.

Gurpratap Singh, student of ME Batch 2016, was awarded ‘The Best Speaker’ for his eloquent presentation on ‘Child Labour’. Not only did he express his views confidently but he was also able to establish a good connect with the audience. ‘The Best Team’ title was awarded to ‘Team Titans’, comprising of students Vedant, Prabhat, Rohit Sharma, Rohit Choudhary, Rajat and Munish Choudhary, who captivated the audience through their brilliant theatrical interpretation of ‘Eve Teasing’. The best team collaborated creatively to send the message across with a tinge of humor, which captivated the audience. The event was a great success and helped the students enrich and enhance their communicative competence.
