MBA students of CBS successfully completed 15 days Winter School at Mumbai, 5th year in a row

Winter School on Financial Markets is an annual feature of Chitkara Business School. This year batch of 30 MBA students visited Mumbai to attend Winter School on Financial Markets from 24th Jan 2014 to 4th Feb 2014. The students stay in Mumbai for 15 days. It includes various lecture sessions, visit to various financial institutions and excursion as well. This is 5th Winter School program MBA students of Chitkara Business School attended

During the winter school, the students were exposed to various instruments of financial markets, industry as such, contribution of financial markets industry to Indian economy, through Guest speakers and practitioners from Industry.

The students were taken on visit to SEBI, RBI, BSE, IBA and other financial institutions for understanding the role of regulators in India.

Komal Chawla, MBA student of CBS and one of the attendee of the program remarked, “It has been wonderful experience visiting financial capital of the country, Mumbai. I have been to Mumbai before as well but never looked up to the city with this perspective earlier. A thorough program with lots of practical input. I am thankful to my Business School for this grand opportunity.

While explaining the objective of this Winter School Program, Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Vice Chancellor, Chitkara University said, ” the aim of this short program for MBA students is to expose them to financial capital of India and Industry culture more precisely.
