Mass Communication students’ session live on Living India TV

Students of BAJMC IV semester and MAJMC II semester had a chance to interact in a session, which was live on Living India TV and was telecasted through OB van.

The discussion was centered on the theme ‘Youth expectations from politicians’ in which many got their turn to speak and express their views. The TV team came with an OB van and through satellite; it was shown live in the channel.

The team interacted with faculty members and the students, which also in turn exposed them to know how an OB van works and broadcasts. Through OB vans, the television stations telecast the latest happening from the field and to show their viewers that they have reached the spot/ location and are giving appropriate story.

The students got to know how a field reporter spontaneously feed the story and to what extent he researches on the topic so that all the possible angles may be covered. He interacts with the anchor and panelist who are sitting in far away studio and also gives input of the spectators/ participants who are at the other end. It was an enriching experience for our students to learn an aspect of TV journalism.
