Krav Maga Self-Defense Training Empowers Chitkara University Students to Protect Themselves
The famous quote “It is better to have power and not need it than to need it and not have it!” perfectly captures the essence of the Krav Maga Self-Defense Training Workshop organized by The Office of Student Affairs at Chitkara University, Punjab on March 14th, 2023.
The workshop was held as part of Tuning Tuesdays, an initiative aimed at bringing fun, learning, and joy to hostellers, outside Square One. Led by two professional Krav Maga trainers, the workshop taught students how to protect themselves from various mishappenings such as hand grabs, neck grabs, and eve teasing.
Throughout the workshop, the trainers randomly called students and demonstrated different, easy-to-learn techniques that can overpower strength at any moment. They motivated students to protect themselves and their families by investing time in learning new skills such as these. The students were enthusiastic and eager to learn, actively participating in the workshop.
The two-hour workshop was a massive success, and the trained students were also asked to demonstrate their learnings. Female students impressed everyone by pinning down even the trainers on the ground using Krav Maga techniques, leaving the crowd stunned and hooting for them. It was evident that the students had not only learned new skills but also gained the confidence to defend themselves if the need arises. The workshop gave students a better understanding of how to protect themselves, empowering them to safeguard themselves and their loved ones.
In conclusion, the Krav Maga Self-Defense Training Workshop was an excellent initiative, and it was heartening to see the students actively participating and learning new skills. In today’s world, it is crucial to equip ourselves with the power to protect ourselves, and workshops like these go a long way in achieving that goal.
