The Intra-University Cultural Fest Explore’18 ends amidst much fanfare
This year Chitkara University’s annual fest EXPLORE was in intra-departmental affair with the theme “One World, One Beat”.
The cultural Fest Explore’18 was concluded on a high note on March 31st, 2018. It was organised by department of student affairs, Chitkara University. The one-day extravaganza gave way to several events and saw a mammoth over 1200 students from both campuses becoming a part of it. Major events like Voguesta, Fusion Funk, Symphony, Frisk Feet Mr & Ms Explore while miscellaneous events like Doodle/Cartooning/Sketching, Brush off, Lens It Up, Chakravyuh, Codathon, Codathon, Robo Race, Bollywood Battle, IPL Auction & Sports Quiz, Logo Quiz, Business Quiz, Pitthoo, Spell Bee/Scrabble, Auto & Tech Quiz, Pictionary & JAM and fun events like Minute to Win it, Game of Doubles, Laser Maze, Mystery Room & Bottle Flip Challenge etc comprised 25 events in all at the fest.
The fest was declared open with lighting the lamp, followed by an inaugural song. Though there were several events that spelt zing some worth mentioning were “Hanuman Chalisa” teamed with Kathak. The Fashion Show “Voguesta”, a rocking performance by the band “Dhwani”, “Custody” the dance group setting the stage on fire, Symphony, which was all about singing, themes like Vastuu, Dream catchers, Khalsa-e-Fauj, Fusion Funk, Frisk Feet and many more.
The esteemed judges for various events were Aman Grewal – Mrs India Worldwide 2014, Harman Maan – Miss Punjab 2016 and Ashutosh Kaushik – An Indian actor & a winner of MTV Roadies 5.0 in 2007 & 2nd season of Bigg Boss 2008 and in-house deans and director of the various department of Chitkara University.
There were several fun games with 1-minute games, “Lazer Maze” which had 450 participants competing for getting through.”Mystery Room”, ”Bottle Flip Challenge”, “Game of Doubles”, etc.

The winners of the various events were awarded trophies and cash prizes worth Rs five lakh by Dr. Niyati Chitkara. As the fest came to an end, the valedictory was marked by Bandit Syncmasters’ roaring performance and a motivating speech made by Ashutosh Kaushik.
No fun fest is complete till the time students aren’t given an opportunity to see their favourite and famous artists. Student fest EXPLORE-2018 was all set and ready to witness the “Gun yaar di” fame young & popular Punjabi singer ‘Dilpreet Dhillon’. He has already made his special place in the industry and Chitkara University, Punjab acknowledging the young achievers’ efforts invited him to entertain their students. Students and faculty members from both campuses enjoyed the music and danced their feet off. The buzz was still on even when the event was coming to a closure.
