Industry-Academia Conclave organised by DST Technology Enabling Centre

One of the biggest Industry-Academia Conclave of the region was organized by the DST (GoI) sponsored Chitkara University Technology Enabling Centre on March 4, which was attended by 120 delegates comprising top industrialists of the region as well as senior academicians from the regional institutions. The objective of the event was to promote industry-academia collaborations for the joint development of technologies.

The conclave witnessed representation from four industry associations (Patiala, Sangrur, Ambala, Panchkula), the Department of Science and Technology (DST) GoI, MSME Development Institute of India, and from as many as 10 different academic/research institutions of the region including CSIO, NIT Jalandhar, PTU, GNDEC Ludhiana, etc.

There were 13 presentations from industries wherein problem statements were shared for possible academic collaborations.18 presentations were delivered by academia wherein they showcased the technologies that they want to commercialize with support from the industry.
